Antiquus Fabula (Risus)
A downloadable game
Risus, one of the most influential indie games ever created, had a huge influence on my gaming after my D&D fallout in the mid-2000s. I ran many games using the core system and eventually I wanted to mesh the rules with my preferred 'old school' style of play. This is the result, originally published in 2009, but cleaned up and a few typos fixed.
Now that ownership of Risus has changed hands, I am hoping for a resurgence of support for the game. In the spirit of this, I have cleaned this document up and posted it here.

This is exactly what I needed! Everything derives from the core mechanics - the way you calculate XP from cliches, the bank die being itself a cliche that you roll for... the random chance for loot naturally increasing with the monsters' power. It's so simple, almost to the point of being intuitive but someone had to come up with this. Great job!
